suiss/ui · Chart

Radar Chart Dots

A single radar shape with a solid dot marking the value on every axis.

Radar Chart Dots is an open-source chart from suiss/ui for React, React Native, SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose. The @esuiss/ui CLI copies its source into your project, so you own the code.

components/charts/radar-chart-dots.tsx
"use client"

import { PolarAngleAxis, PolarGrid, Radar, RadarChart } from "recharts"

import {
  Card,
  CardContent,
  CardDescription,
  CardHeader,
  CardTitle,
} from "@/components/ui/card"
import {
  type ChartConfig,
  ChartContainer,
  ChartTooltip,
  ChartTooltipContent,

A single radar shape with a solid dot at the value on every axis. The dots make individual scores easier to locate than on the plain filled shape.

Installation

CLI

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @esuiss/radar-chart-dots

Works in any project with a components.json. See Installation for the one-line registry setup. Or use the suiss/ui CLI:

$ pnpm dlx @esuiss/ui@latest add charts radar-chart-dots

Manual

  1. Install the dependencies:
$ pnpm add recharts
  1. Add the pieces it builds on: Card, Chart.

  2. Copy the source into components/charts/radar-chart-dots.tsx:

components/charts/radar-chart-dots.tsx
"use client"

import { PolarAngleAxis, PolarGrid, Radar, RadarChart } from "recharts"

import {
  Card,
  CardContent,
  CardDescription,
  CardHeader,
  CardTitle,
} from "@/components/ui/card"
import {
  type ChartConfig,
  ChartContainer,
  ChartTooltip,
  ChartTooltipContent,
  1. Update the import paths to match your project.

Usage

import { RadarChartDots } from "@/components/charts/radar-chart-dots"
<RadarChartDots />

Replace chartData, set the axis and value keys, and rename the series in chartConfig. Change the marker size through the dot prop on Radar, or set it to false to go back to the plain shape.

import com.esuiss.ui.components.ChartDot

A RadarChart with one lightly filled Radar series and a dot on each point. chartData has one record per axis (skill) with thisMonth and lastMonth scores. Only thisMonth is drawn. Pressing the chart shows a tooltip.

Installation

$ pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @esuiss-rn/radar-chart-dots

See Installation for the components.json setup. Or use the suiss/ui CLI:

$ pnpm dlx @esuiss/ui@latest add radar-chart-dots
$ pnpm dlx @esuiss/ui@latest add radar-chart-dots --platform swift
$ pnpm dlx @esuiss/ui@latest add radar-chart-dots --platform kotlin
